Located in the immediate vicinity of Split, Trogir is the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex, not only on the Adriatic, but in the whole of Central Europe. This historic city, with its many palaces, churches and towers, as well as a fortress on a small island, ended up on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. The old town is located on a dreamy island between the mainland and the island of ÄŒiovo.
